Enterprise Portal
Lansons uses Worktribe as an Enterprise Portal to both internal and external users:
- The intranet portal provides staff with access to the manual, forms, reports and contacts.
- The extranet portal provides clients with online work reviews and a digital archive.
Company Intranet
The Worktribe Intranet facility allows Lizzie Shaw, Office Manager at Lansons to publish news, documents and forms for company staff to access using a standard web browser.
Easy to Use
Everyone at Lansons has a portal shortcut on their desktop so they can access it with one click.
When Lizzie wants to put documents up on the intranet, she clicks the 'Edit' button on the relevant page, types a couple of sentences to explain what the documents are, and then chooses the files to upload from her PC.
She then ticks boxes to choose who can see the new files, and can optionally send an email to everyone to let them know about the update.

Furthermore, Worktribe gives the Intranet Administrator complete control over which pages each user can see - making it straightforward to limit access to certain forms and documents to particular users.
Lansons Branding
The Lansons Intranet is fully branded to match their public website. This provides a seamless transition for all users and ensures that the Lansons brand identity is reflected throughout all their corporate communications.
Usage Tracking
Worktribe automatically records all activity on the Intranet. This allows the Administrators to view usage reports and analyze the effectiveness of their internal communications.
For example, Lizzie can see who has been logging on to the Lansons intranet, which documents have been downloaded and when.
Client Extranet
Lansons uses the Worktribe Extranet facility to provide personalized login facilities for their clients. Linked from their home page, the 'Client Extranet' is a key tool for account management, providing an 'always-on' service for clients to log in to review copy for press releases and download data and press clippings relating to their campaign.
