University of Dundee joins 54 UK universities and research institutions using Worktribe, the UK’s sector-leading cloud-based software platform offering a powerful suite of tools for seamless, end-to-end research and curriculum management.

The University of Dundee kicked off their Pre-Award journey with Worktribe in April 2023. By getting the right team together and being ready from the get-go, Dundee successfully launched their initial cohort of users in September, going live on time and on-budget. Worktribe’s implementation consultant guided the Dundee team through various stages of training, system set-up, sharing best practice and enabling Dundee to get the most out of Worktribe’s system. Dundee selected Worktribe Pre-Award to replace multiple out-dated systems at the institution and streamline processes in order to have all their information in one place.

Susan Young – Head of Financial Accounting at the University of Dundee said:

“This has been a fantastic project to be part of. We started the project very positive about how the Worktribe software could improve our processes and practices.  The implementation phase has given us even greater insight into what Worktribe offers and we move past the go-live stage with confidence in our transformed pre-award processes and with significant buy-in and enthusiasm from our academic community.”

Pam Houston – Head of Research Finance Services at the University of Dundee added:

Implementation of the Pre-Award module was very smooth and we felt fully supported by Worktribe throughout the process.  We are excited to be using the system and look forward to the benefits and efficiencies it will bring, particularly as we roll out to the wider university.  Alongside assisted self-service, benefits such as greater transparency, online approvals, reporting and integrations will transform this area both for the teams supporting the activity and our academic community.

Commenting on the news, Worktribe Implementation consultant Dan Edwards said:

The key to this project being successful was the people involved at Dundee. The team was already established ahead of KO and the willingness to put dedicated time into the implementation meant that there were no delays. The team at Dundee was a pleasure to work with and I sincerely hope their Worktribe journey continues in the coming years.
